Thankful On Thanksgiving

Today marked another uneventful, yet pleasant, Thanksgiving in my book. I saw loads of family members, and ate a ton of food - particularly turkey and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. I don’t usually take time to think how fortunate I am, but this year I will.

I’m thankful that I have a place to go to for Thanksgiving every year.

I’m thankful that I can afford to eat food on Thanksgiving, and every day for that matter.

I’m thankful for having a mother and aunt who cooked an enormous amount of food to feed all 27 of us.

I’m thankful for whoever washed the dishes as I succumed to my food coma and napped on the couch.

I’m thankful for my three toddler cousins that get so much joy at being picked up and thrown around by me.

I’m thankful for my friends who kept me entertained with funny text messages throughout the day.

I’m thankful for having a great job that I’m looking forward to going back to on Monday.

I’m thankful that my brother could join us for Thanksgiving this year, as he was out of the country in years past.

I’m thankful that I got to see both of my grandmothers today.

I’m thankful for having a wonderful family that I get to share holidays like Thanksgiving with.
